God’s power and promises

God’s power and promises

To me this was really humbling, that the Maker of the Universe could love me…Awesome

How long must I pray, must I pray to YouHow long must I wait, must I wait for YouHow long ‘till I see Your faceSee You shining throughI’m on my kneesBegging You to notice meI’m on my kneesFather, will You turn to me, yeah? One tear in the dropping rainOne voice in a sea of painCould the Maker of the starsHear the sound of my breaking heart? One life is all I amRight now I can barely standIf You’re everything You say You areWould You come close and hold my heart?I’ve been so afraid, afraid to close my eyesSo much can slip away before I say goodbyeBut if there’s no other wayI’m done asking why‘Cause I’m on my kneesBegging You to turn to meI’m on my kneesFather, will You run to me, yeah? One tear in the dropping rainOne voice in a sea of painCould the Maker of the starsHear the sound of my breaking heart? One life is all I amRight now I can barely standIf You’re everything You say You areWould You come close and hold my heart? So many questions without answersYour promises remainI can’t see but I’ll take my chancesTo hear You call my nameTo hear You call my nameOne tear in the dropping rainOne voice in a sea of painCould the Maker of the starsHear the sound of my breaking heart? One life is all I amRight now I can barely standIf You’re everything You say You areWould You come close and hold my heart?Hold my heartCould You hold my heart?Hold my heart

How long must I pray, must I pray to You
How long must I wait, must I wait for You
How long ‘till I see Your face
See You shining through

I’m on my knees
Begging You to notice me
I’m on my knees
Father, will You turn to me, yeah?

One tear in the dropping rain
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the Maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breaking heart?

One life is all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You’re everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart?

I’ve been so afraid, afraid to close my eyes
So much can slip away before I say goodbye
But if there’s no other way
I’m done asking why

‘Cause I’m on my knees
Begging You to turn to me
I’m on my knees
Father, will You run to me, yeah?

One tear in the dropping rain
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the Maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breaking heart?

One life is all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You’re everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart?

So many questions without answers
Your promises remain
I can’t see but I’ll take my chances
To hear You call my name
To hear You call my name

One tear in the dropping rain
One voice in a sea of pain
Could the Maker of the stars
Hear the sound of my breaking heart?

One life is all I am
Right now I can barely stand
If You’re everything You say You are
Would You come close and hold my heart?

Hold my heart
Could You hold my heart?
Hold my heart

This example of emotive imagery is of child in Uganda holding hands with a missionary. The stark contrast between the two people serves as a reminder of the gulf in wealth between developed and developing countries.
I dare you to reblog this.

I had to. My heart just broke.

I am never saying im hungry again.

This absolutely broke my heart.

If you don’t know…

If you don’t know just how you feel,
Don’t say those sweet things that you know i’d wanna hear
And if you don’t know, just what to think
then put your thoughts away and keep them out of reach

Baby don’t hurt me if you don’t know
I could have moved on long time ago
You’re undecided your eyes do show
Baby don’t hurt me if you don’t know

If you don’t know just where we are
Then slowly step away before we get too far
If you don’t know just where you stand
Don’t brace a fall you may never want to land

We’re on and off again
It’s more than I can stand
Just let me know if you’re for real this time
Your voice it shook again
Reminded me of when
We talked our way to the end
